  1. Scheduled Rain Out Days - Sundays x 3 during the season. Dates TBC

  1. League Mergers – Clubs wishing to play in the Auckland Competition MUST register with NHSA, to be allowed to Play in any ASA Competition, ALL ASA Charges are to be through NHSA office and on charged with the additional NHSA Fee. This additional fee is yet to be ratified and set by the Board of NHSA.


  2. Public Holiday’s – There will be NO play on Labour Weekend, Auckland Anniversary Weekend or Waitangi Weekend (This will include any play that would have been on the Monday’s of these holiday weekends).


  3. Dispensation due to “No Grade”
    1. These Dispensations will still be on a case by case basis.
    2. Players requiring dispensation due to “No Grade” being supplied by NHSA, will be considered with the dispensation process, but not necessarily with the same rules. E.g. Not being normally able to “Play Up” when a dispensation is applied.
    3. Where “No Grade” is offered the Competition Advisory MAY consider dispensation down, and MAY allow “Playing Up” to support the individual player's development, and so to not lose players to other teams, Clubs and Associations.
    4. Also, the number of dispensations per team being a max of 2 per team, MAY also be lifted where “No Grade” is the case.

  4. NO METAL CLEATS – This is a biggie; however this is a reality that we need to manage, Council have advised that NO METAL CLEATS are to be worn on the Grass diamonds due to the AstroTurf inserts that have been put in place (Rubbers are allowed). ALL sporting grounds managed by Auckland Council with AstroTurf have this rule. Anyone found wearing METAL CLEATS will incur a FINE of $50, this will be charged to the Club. Each Club will get a 1 Strike warning, then be fined from thereon. We hope that Clubs and teams will ensure that this rule is supported to make sure that the Council doesn’t Remove or Close our diamonds.


  5. Entering NEW or WITHDRAWING Teams in Sporty – To do this you will now have to call or email the OFFICE as the team registrations for Sporty have been closed, this was necessary to generate the draws. This, however, does not stop you for registering your players into Sporty, you will just have to Advise the office of the NEW TEAM to be added or the WITHDRAWL to be made.

  6. Umpiring Duties – ALL Grades will need to umpire themselves if there is no “Official Umpire” Appointed. If this is the case the first named on the draw is to do this. If Officials are available for your games, they will be made to the draw on each Thursday Night.
